A thank-you serenata (serenade) is live music you bring to someone to say thank you in a way that is not forgotten. It is booked online: you choose the city, group, date and address, and you pay 100% when booking with the money held in escrow until the musicians are with you.

Who can you give a thank-you serenade to?

Gratitude is rarely celebrated with as much care as a birthday, and that is exactly why a serenade has such an enormous effect. Some recipient ideas:

  • Mom or Dad: for everything they did, with no occasion in between or on a date like May 10 (Mother's Day).
  • Grandparents: for the meals, the advice and the years of care.
  • Teachers or mentors: at the end of a stage, with the group of classmates present.
  • A boss or a work team: when closing a project or saying goodbye to someone dear.
  • Friends who supported you: in a hard moment, such as a move, an illness or a breakup.
  • Whoever took care of you: a nurse, a caregiver or a relative who was close to someone dear.

What they all have in common is that they rarely receive public, heartfelt recognition. The serenade gives it to them.

Which music to choose to say thank you?

Think about the tone: emotional, cheerful, solemn? The genre and the songs set it.

RecipientSuggested genreTone
Mom or grandparentsMariachi or marimbaWarm and family-oriented
DadNorteño or mariachiCheerful and proud
Teachers or mentorsTrio or rondallaRespectful and emotional
Work teamBanda or norteñoFestive
FriendsTrio or mariachiIntimate or fun

Ask the group about their repertoire. Many traditional songs speak of gratitude, affection and recognition; others are not "thank-you" songs but have lyrics that fit. A song the person knows and sings along with you can be the best moment.

How do you organize a thank-you serenade?

  1. Define who and why. Being clear on the reason helps you choose songs and write a few words.
  2. Choose the city and the group in the list of musicians.
  3. Set the date, time and address.
  4. Pay 100% when you book; the money is held in escrow.
  5. Wait for the Serenattia team's confirmation of availability.
  6. On the day of the event, scan the musician's QR before they play.

A simple script for the moment

A structure that works: the musicians arrive and begin with a welcome song; you (or someone else) read two or three sentences of thanks; a dedicated song follows; and it closes with a cheerful song everyone can take part in. It is short, but it feels complete.

How much does it cost?

Tips so the thanks really lands

  • Be specific. "Thanks for everything" is nice, but "thank you for staying with me that night at the hospital" stays with you.
  • Write a few words and read them before the last song.
  • Take care of the place. At an office, ask permission ahead of time; at a house, tell the neighbors.
  • Consider those who do not like being the center of attention: a brief, warm serenade will work better for them than a big one.
  • Prepare a physical keepsake if you like: a letter, flowers or a framed photo.
  • Record the moment so the person can watch it again.

What does your booking include and how is your payment protected?

When you book you pay 100% up front, but that money does not go to the musician right away: it is held in escrow. At the event, before the group starts to play, you scan the musician's QR code and at that moment the payment is released. If the group does not show up, there is no QR to scan and the money is not released. In addition, the Serenattia team confirms the availability of each booking, each group's price is published and there is no exclusivity: you can compare and choose freely. If you need an invoice, it can be issued, and the VAT (16%) is added to the total.
