Monthly Serenade: Can You Give Music Every Month?

Today there is no serenade subscription on Serenattia, but you can schedule a serenade every month by booking ahead. We explain how and for whom it makes sense.

A monthly serenata (serenade) means giving live music once a month, for example on each dating anniversary. Serenattia does not have an automatic subscription: each serenade is booked separately, choosing the musician and the date and paying 100% when you book with the money held in escrow.

Flower subscriptions are popular because they turn a gesture into a habit. The idea of a monthly serenade works the same way, with one important difference: live music depends on a musician being available on each date, so it is planned differently. Here we tell you how to do it well.

Does a serenade subscription exist?

No. Today on Serenattia each booking is individual: you choose the musician, date, and time, and the team confirms availability. We do not offer recurring automatic charges or monthly packages. What you can do is book several dates in advance and repeat with the same musician if you were happy with the service, always subject to their availability.

This has an advantage: you do not commit to something you may not need, and you can change the style, the group, or the city each time.

For whom does a serenade every month make sense?

  • Monthly couple's anniversaries: on the 14th, the 20th, or whichever one you celebrate. It is a way to keep the romance going.
  • An older person who lives alone: a serenade on the first Sunday of the month can be an enormous emotional commitment.
  • Long-distance relationships: a monthly reminder that someone is thinking of you.
  • Celebrating a streak: months of sobriety, of recovery, of achievements.
  • A family group: a tradition, like the serenade on the last Friday.

For most couples, a serenade every month can be a lot; it is more realistic to alternate: a full serenade on key dates and small surprises the rest of the time.

How do you organize a monthly serenade without it becoming routine?

  • Change the group: one month mariachi, another a trio, another saxophone or violin.
  • Change the place: in front of the house, on a terrace, at the office if there is permission.
  • Change the repertoire: one month boleros, another rancheras, another music from your era.
  • Change the message: a different sentence each time, adding up to a shared story.
  • Give notice or not: alternate a total surprise with an agreed date.

How much does each serenade cost and how is it paid?

Each booking has its own rate, visible on the musician's profile. The lowest prices published today on Serenattia (October 2026), before the service fee, are: Puebla from MX$1,300; CDMX from MX$1,500; Mérida from MX$1,700; Cancún from MX$1,800; Playa del Carmen from MX$2,000; Toluca from MX$2,200; Querétaro from MX$2,400; Monterrey from MX$2,500; Cuernavaca from MX$3,600; and Guadalajara from MX$4,000.

The musician receives 100% of their rate. You pay a separate 10% service fee with a minimum of MX$200. The VAT (16%) goes on top if you ask for an invoice. To compare in more detail, check the music price index for Mexico and calculate how much it would cost you to repeat it several times a year.

How is the payment protected each time?

On each booking you pay 100% when you book and the money is held in escrow. It is released to the musician at the event, when the client scans the musician's QR code before they play. If the musician does not arrive, the payment is not released. The Serenattia team confirms the availability of every booking and there is no exclusivity: you can choose a different musician each time from /musicos.

How to build your own serenade calendar

Since there is no subscription, you build the habit yourself. This is a practical way to do it without overspending or losing the surprise:

  1. Choose a fixed date: the day of the month you celebrate, or the first Sunday, so it is easy to remember.
  2. Set a budget per serenade: review the published rates in your city and decide how much you want to invest each time. Remember the service fee is added.
  3. Book ahead: when a date is already on your calendar, it is easier for the musician you want to have availability.
  4. Write down the songs used: that way you do not repeat the repertoire and you build a musical story.
  5. Review how it went: ask the other person what they enjoyed most and adjust the next month.

A full serenade and other lighter versions

Not every month needs the same format. Alternating lets you keep the habit without it becoming heavy:

  • Full serenade month: group, repertoire, and a total surprise, for anniversaries or important dates.
  • Musical detail month: a playlist made for the occasion or a song sung by you.
  • Date month: a dinner at home with background music, with no surprises.
  • Letter month: a few handwritten lines with a song lyric that represents you both.

This also helps with the budget: you do not need to hire musicians every month to keep the tradition alive.

Common mistakes when attempting a monthly serenade

  • Repeating the same script: if it is always the same time and the same song, the surprise becomes a habit.
  • Promising more than you can sustain: a serenade every three months done well is better than a half-done monthly one.
  • Not considering the other person's mood: if they had a heavy week, sometimes it is worth postponing a day.
  • Forgetting the neighbors: if you repeat in the same place, give notice so annoyances do not pile up.
  • Leaving everything for the last day: without a prior booking, the musician you want may not be available.
