There is no single hourly mariachi rate in Venezuela: each group quotes according to the number of musicians, songs, area and transport, and almost always in dollars. The only published hourly price we found is $250 USD in Acarigua (Portuguesa), checked on October 5, 2026. The detail and how to compare are below.

What public prices are there today?

We looked for rates published on the pages of Venezuelan groups. There are few, and most ask you to write on WhatsApp to get a quote. This is what we did find with a figure, and we give it as is, without rounding or inventing:

  • Acarigua and Portuguesa: one group publishes 7 songs for $80, 9 songs for $100, 15 songs for $150 and one hour for $250, with transport included. A female voice costs $20 more. Checked on October 5, 2026 on their page.
  • Downtown Caracas: one group advertised serenades from $30 with 10 songs, in the central district and between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., in a post updated on December 1, 2022 (source). It is a figure from years ago, so take it only as a historical reference, not as today's price.

We do not have verifiable public figures for an hour of mariachi in Caracas, Maracaibo or Valencia, and that is why we do not list them.

A useful detail: in the list above, the one-hour figure ($250) costs more than double the 9-song package ($100) and almost double the 15-song one ($150). That suggests that, with that group, paying for a full hour only makes sense if you really want continuous music; for a serenata (serenade) or a short moment, the song package works out tighter.

Why does the price change so much?

In Venezuela, as in any country, the rate for an hour depends on concrete variables. It pays to ask about all of them before comparing two quotes:

  • Number of musicians: a group of 4 does not cost the same as one of 9 or 12.
  • Songs or time: some charge per song (7, 9, 15) and others per continuous hour. They are not the same thing.
  • Distance and transport: some groups include it and others add it on top.
  • Sound: if you need audio equipment for a hall, ask whether it is included.
  • Date: weekends, December and heavily requested dates can be quoted differently.

That is why asking for "the price of an hour" without more detail usually gets you answers that cannot be compared.

How do you ask for a quote that can be compared?

Write the same message to two or three groups and ask for the same details. A good quote states in writing: how many musicians are coming, how many songs or minutes, whether transport is included, the schedule and the area, and in what currency it is quoted. Save a screenshot of the conversation.

Also ask whether the group can play the repertoire you want (rancheras, boleros, waltzes) and whether they accept a song list from you. And confirm the exact address ahead of time, especially if the event is in an area far from downtown, because that is where the cost changes the most.

If two prices differ a lot, it is almost always because one includes things the other does not. Compare like with like and distrust any figure that does not say what it includes.

One last practical recommendation: ask how long before the date you have to confirm and what happens if you need to change the date. A good group explains it without beating around the bush and in writing.

A full hour or a song package?

The best option depends on the type of event. If it is a surprise serenade, the usual choice is a package of 7 to 15 songs: it is short, direct and you do not need more. If it is a party, an anniversary or a dinner where you want background music and moments of dancing, a continuous hour makes more sense, because the group adapts to the pace of the guests.

Also think about the space. In a small apartment, a group of 4 musicians sounds more comfortable; in a hall or a patio, a larger group fills the place better. Tell the group how many people there will be and where it will be, and let them recommend the lineup.

And do not forget the schedule: some rates are published for specific time windows (for example, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.), and outside that window the quote may change. Ask before deciding the time of the party.

Does Serenattia already have musicians in Venezuela?

Not yet. Serenattia was born in Mexico, where it brings together musicians with a visible price and no exclusivity, and it is arriving in Venezuela. Today there are no musicians published in Venezuela, so we cannot book one for you from here. What you can do is leave your details with the Notify me button on this page so we can write to you when there are musicians in Venezuela.

In the meantime, use this guide as a list of questions for any group you are considering: it works the same no matter who you hire.

If you are a musician, you can publish your free profile on Serenattia and be among the first to appear. To see how the platform works today, you can review the musician catalog (for now from Mexico) and how prices are published in the price index for Mexico, which does not apply to Venezuela.
