If you live in the United States and want to send a serenade to your mom in Mexico, book a musician from her city on Serenattia and pay online with a card. The charge is in pesos and the money is held in escrow until the event.
Why is a serenade the gift for mom when you are far away?
There are gifts you buy and gifts you feel. For a mom who has spent years waiting for your Sunday call, hearing live music in front of her house says what messages sometimes cannot: that you have not forgotten her. It does not replace your hug, but it gives her a moment she will remember and tell the whole family about.
It also has a practical advantage: it does not depend on you being there, only on someone in Mexico coordinating the moment with the team.
How do you prepare the surprise from the United States?
You bring the emotional part. The practical part is solved like this:
- Talk to a trusted brother, aunt or neighbor in Mexico so they know about the surprise.
- Confirm the date, whether it is a birthday, May 10 (Mother's Day) or any ordinary Sunday.
- Choose the musician at /musicos according to the price in her city.
- Book and pay by card. The team confirms availability.
- Coordinate with the Serenattia team, when booking, how the musician's QR code will be scanned.
That way, your mom only has to open the door.
How much does a serenade for mom in Mexico cost?
It depends on the city. The lowest prices published today by musicians on Serenattia are: CDMX from MX$1,500, Puebla from MX$1,300, Guadalajara from MX$4,000, Queretaro from MX$2,400, Monterrey from MX$2,500, Toluca from MX$2,200, Cuernavaca from MX$3,600, Merida from MX$1,700, Cancun from MX$1,800 and Playa del Carmen from MX$2,000. These are prices before the service fee and in pesos.

What do I have to do from the United States?
Very little. The important thing is to have at hand the details of the person who will receive the serenade and a card you can pay with online.
- Define the date and the destination city in Mexico.
- Review at /musicos the musicians published in that market and their prices.
- Make the booking and pay the full amount at that moment. You do not pay a deposit and the rest later: you pay 100% when booking.
- Wait for the availability confirmation from the Serenattia team.
- Coordinate with the team, when booking, how the QR code scan will be done on the day of the serenade.
If you have doubts about your family's city, you can check them with the team before paying.
Book ahead. The more margin you give the team to confirm availability, the calmer the coordination will be and the easier it will be to resolve a change of address or date before the event. We do not promise musician arrival times or response times, but we do offer a clear, online process with the price in view from the start.
How the escrow payment protects you
Booking music for someone who is far away takes trust. That is why the money does not go straight to the musician: it is held in escrow and released only when the musician's QR code is scanned at the event, before they start to play.
The published rate is what the musician receives, in full. The 10% service fee (minimum MX$200) is paid separately. An invoice option exists, with VAT (16%) added. The Serenattia team also confirms the availability of each booking.
What matters is that you understand the scheme before paying: you pay 100% when booking, the money is held in escrow and released at the event. If you have doubts about how it applies to your case, the Serenattia team can clear them up when you book.
Serenattia charges by online card and the amount is charged in Mexican pesos. We do not handle conversion or exchange rates: the conversion is done by your bank or card issuer when processing the charge. If you want to know whether your bank applies any fee for purchases in another currency, ask them before paying.
Before paying, confirm that your card allows online purchases and that the limit covers the total in pesos. Keep the receipt for your booking. If you prefer to know the equivalent in dollars, check with your bank, because Serenattia does not publish or calculate that conversion.
One last piece of advice: ask someone in the family to record the serenade on video. That way, even if you are not there, you can see your mom's face when she opens the door and hear the others singing along with her.
An honest clarification: Serenattia was born in Mexico and the musicians are in Mexico. We only offer serenades in the markets where there are published musicians: CDMX, Guadalajara, Puebla, Queretaro, Toluca, Monterrey, Cuernavaca, Merida, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
If you are a musician in Mexico and want families in the United States to find you, you can publish your free profile at /registro-musico.
