Serenattia has no subscription plan, but you can schedule recurring serenades with separate bookings. We tell you how to do it and what it would cost.

Serenattia does not offer a monthly serenade subscription today, but you can achieve something equivalent: book several dates with the same musician or different ones, each with its own escrow payment. That way you give music on a recurring basis, with visible pricing and no fixed commitments.

Does a serenade subscription exist?

Let us be clear: no. On Serenattia there is no automatic monthly payment plan that sends you musicians every month. Each serenata (serenade) is an independent booking, with its own rate, date, and payment. What does exist is the possibility of scheduling several bookings and building your own calendar of surprises.

This has an advantage: you are not tied to anything. You can change genre, place, or musician between one serenade and the next, and there is no exclusivity forcing you to repeat.

How do I put together a homemade serenade "subscription"?

The idea is simple: think of the dates that matter and book ahead. Some ways to organize it:

  • Anniversary serenade every year: book the same group for the same date. It becomes a couple's tradition.
  • One gift per quarter: birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day, and Christmas, each with a different genre.
  • A monthly couple's serenade: one night a month with a trio or violin, with a new song each time.
  • Serenades for several people: mom, grandma, and a friend, each on their date.
  • A gift for someone far away: book a musician in their city for their important dates, if there are profiles published there.

The key is to note the dates ahead of time and book them when you can. Each booking is confirmed by the Serenattia team, which verifies the availability of each date.

How much would it cost to keep up a rhythm of serenades?

It depends on your city and what you choose. The lowest price published today by musicians on Serenattia (October 2026), before the service fee, is MX$1,500 in CDMX, MX$1,300 in Puebla, MX$1,700 in Mérida, MX$1,800 in Cancún, MX$2,200 in Toluca, MX$2,400 in Querétaro, MX$2,500 in Monterrey, MX$3,600 in Cuernavaca, and MX$4,000 in Guadalajara. These are starting points, and there are higher rates depending on the group.

Homemade planBookings per yearCost at a MX$1,500 rate (MX$200 minimum fee included)
Anniversary only1MX$1,700
Birthday and anniversary2MX$3,400
One per quarter4MX$6,800
One per month12MX$20,400

It is an illustrative calculation with the lowest rate published in CDMX; real rates depend on the musician. Check the price index to compare. If you need an invoice, the VAT (16%) goes on top.

How the fee is calculated

The musician receives 100% of their rate. The client pays a separate 10% service fee, with a minimum of MX$200. On a rate of MX$1,500, 10% would be MX$150, but the MX$200 minimum applies. With a rate of MX$2,500, the fee is MX$250.

How does payment work on each booking?

Each serenade is paid 100% when you book, and the money is held in escrow. It is released to the musician at the event, when you scan their QR code before they play. If they do not arrive, the payment is not released. That way, even if you schedule several serenades during the year, each one is protected separately and you do not hand over money in advance to anyone without them delivering.

Tips so it does not become routine

  • Change the genre each time: mariachi one year, trio the next, saxophone the one after.
  • Save the videos of each serenade and build an album over time.
  • Ask for the same closing song every year to create a tradition.
  • Vary the place: patio, terrace, restaurant, garden.
  • Involve the family in some editions and make others just for the couple.

And if I prefer that they take care of everything?

You can choose calmly from the list of musicians, compare rates, and book months in advance. The sooner you do it, the more likely you are to find the group and the date you want, although availability is always confirmed per booking.

Occasions during the year to build your serenade calendar

If the idea of a subscription appeals to you because you want to surprise the same person several times or different people, you can organize the year with a simple calendar. Here are some dates that usually deserve a musical gesture:

  • Birthdays: of your partner, your mom, your dad, or your closest friends.
  • Anniversaries: as a couple or wedding anniversaries, with a different song each year.
  • Family dates: May 10 (Mother's Day), Father's Day, Christmas.
  • Personal achievements: a graduation, a promotion, a move to a new home.
  • Days with no special reason: a surprise on an ordinary day, which often moves people even more.

How to keep the surprise from losing strength over time

When something repeats, it runs the risk of becoming routine. To keep the excitement, change at least one element each time: the genre, the place, the time, or the way you dedicate the song. One year it can be a mariachi in the patio; another, a trio on a terrace; another, a serenade with no warning at a family lunch.

It also helps to leave gaps between one serenade and another. More than the quantity, what matters is that each one has a clear reason and a thought-out repertoire. If the person already knows there will be music on their birthday, you can play with the timing so the surprise stays real.

Finally, write down the songs that have already played and the person's reaction. A simple record, even on your phone, helps you remember what worked and choose better next time.
