To order a serenata (serenade) the same day in CDMX, book as early as possible and give today's date and time. Serenattia does not guarantee same-day service: the team confirms the availability of each booking, and only if a musician can make that time slot is it confirmed. There are options from MX$1,500.

Can you order a serenade for today?

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It depends on whether any musician listed in CDMX has the time slot you need free and on the Serenattia team confirming the booking. There is no promise of arrival within so many hours or of immediate service. What there is, is an orderly way to try and to protect your money if something does not work out.

If your situation is a last-minute one, for example you forgot a date or a romantic emergency came up, the most sensible thing is to move the request quickly and, at the same time, have a backup plan for tomorrow or the weekend.

How to increase your chances of getting it today

  • Book early in the day: the more hours left, the more options there will be.
  • Be flexible on genre: if you ask only for mariachi at 8 pm, there are fewer chances than if you accept a trio, violin or saxophone.
  • Be flexible on time: a window of two or three hours helps more than an exact hour.
  • Have the full address: street, number, neighborhood, borough and landmarks.
  • Choose a realistic budget: review the published rates before writing.
  • Prepare a plan B: a nearby date or an alternate group.

You can see the musician profiles listed under musicians.

How much does a serenade cost in CDMX?

The lowest price published today by musicians on Serenattia in CDMX (October 2026) is MX$1,500, before the service fee. There are higher rates depending on the group and experience. Check the price index to compare them.

The musician receives 100% of their rate. The client pays a 10% service fee separately, with a minimum of MX$200. With a rate of MX$1,500, the fee is MX$200 and the total is MX$1,700. If you need an invoice, the VAT (16%) is added on top.

And if there is no availability today?

If it cannot be confirmed for today, you have several ways out so the intention is not lost:

  • Book for tomorrow or the weekend: communicate the change to the person with a small gesture today (a message, flowers) and the serenade arrives later.
  • Change genre or group: sometimes another profile has the time slot free.
  • Adjust the time: a mid-afternoon serenade may be available even if the night is full.
  • Combine with another gesture today: a call or a sincere message, and the serenade as the big gesture of the week.

The important thing is not to let urgency lead you to decide badly. A well-organized serenade for tomorrow is usually better than one improvised in a rush.

How is my payment protected if the booking is last-minute?

Exactly the same as any other: you pay 100% when booking and the money is held in escrow. It is released to the musician at the event, when you scan their QR code before they play. If the musician does not show up, you do not scan the code and the payment is not released. On a last-minute booking it is an extra protection, because the timing is short.

In addition, the Serenattia team confirms the availability of each booking. If there is no confirmation, you will know that date is not secured.

What about CDMX traffic?

In the capital, traffic can complicate any trip. That is why exact arrival times cannot be promised, and it is better to leave margin. Share a contact phone at the location, give landmarks for the area and tell security or management if the musicians need to be let in.

What to write in your last-minute request

When time is short, a clear request saves hours. Include everything in a single message:

  • Date and time window: for example, "today between 7 and 9 at night."
  • Full address: street, number, neighborhood, borough or municipality, postal code and landmarks.
  • Genre options: indicate which ones you accept, in order of preference.
  • Person and occasion: name, relationship and reason, so the musician understands the tone.
  • Two or three songs: with one as the favorite, and a willingness to accept suggestions.
  • Contact phone: to coordinate any last-minute change.

The more complete the request, the faster the Serenattia team can respond and the easier it will be to confirm availability.

What to plan for if it is a surprise and there is not much time

  • Confirm the person will be there: a casual message, like "will you be home later?", avoids arriving at an empty place.
  • Choose who will receive: a trusted person at the location who opens the door and lets you know.
  • Notify the building: the doorman or management, so access is not delayed.
  • Define a plan B: if there is no confirmation for today, have a nearby date ready and a message that anticipates the gesture.

Common mistakes when you are looking for a serenade for today

  • Asking for an exact time with no flexibility: a window of two or three hours gives more margin.
  • Closing the genre to a single option: mariachi at 8 at night is the hardest; with another option you have more chances.
  • Sending an incomplete address: in a city with similar neighborhoods, one missing piece of data can delay everything.
  • Deciding on impulse: a serenade planned for tomorrow is usually better than an improvised one that does not turn out as you expected.
  • Not leaving margin for traffic: in the capital, travel times can vary, so ask for the schedule to have some slack.
