A home-delivered serenata (serenade) is a group of musicians who arrive at the address you give, on the day and time you choose, to sing to whoever you want. It is booked online, with a visible rate, and the payment stays in escrow until you scan the musician's QR code before they play.

What exactly is a home serenade?

It is a live music service brought to someone's door. It can be a mariachi, a trio, a grupo norteño, a banda, a violin, a saxophone or a rondalla. The person who books decides who receives the serenade, when and which songs are played; the musicians arrive, sing and leave. It is the musical equivalent of sending flowers: a gesture delivered in person.

The difference from other home-delivered gifts is that the serenade is a shared moment. It does not stay as an object: it is lived, filmed and told. That is why it works so well for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day (Día de las Madres), to say sorry or to surprise for no reason.

How do you order it, step by step?

  1. Go to the list of musicians. Filter by city, genre and date at Musicians.
  2. Compare profiles. Look at the rate, video, photos and description.
  3. Choose the date and time. Think about when the person will be at home.
  4. Write the address and directions. The clearer, the better.
  5. Pay 100% when booking. The money stays in escrow.
  6. Wait for the confirmation. The Serenattia team confirms the availability of each booking.
  7. Scan the musician's QR code on arrival. That is how the payment is released to the musician.

Which genres can I choose?

These are the options: choose the one that best represents the person.

GenreWhen to choose it

TrioCouples, boleros, saying sorry
NorteñoParties, family gatherings
BandaBig outdoor celebrations
RondallaTraditional, nostalgic serenade

How much does a home serenade cost by city?

Each musician publishes their price. These are the lowest prices published today by musicians on Serenattia (October 2026), only in these cities and before the service fee:

CityFrom (MXN)
Puebla
CDMX
Mérida
Cancún
Playa del Carmen
Toluca
Querétaro
Monterrey
Cuernavaca
Guadalajara

These are the floors of each city: the final price depends on the musician, the duration and the number of members. A 10% service fee is added to the rate, with a minimum of MX$200, paid separately; the musician receives 100% of their rate. If you need an invoice, the VAT (16%) goes on top. How does escrow payment protect me?

You pay 100% when booking and the money stays in escrow. It is released to the musician at the event, when the client scans the musician's QR code before they play. If the musician does not arrive, the payment is not released. In addition, the Serenattia team confirms the availability of each booking. You do not depend on a verbal promise: the flow is designed so the money is only released when the service happens.

Tips for a home serenade without mishaps

  • Book ahead, especially on dates like May 10, February 14 and December.
  • Leave clear directions: color of the facade, visible number, corner.
  • Notify security if it is a gated community or a building.
  • Designate who will scan the QR code if you will not be present.
  • Choose 3 to 5 songs, including a favorite.
  • Prepare a few words before the first song.

How is it like sending flowers and how is it better?

It is similar in the practical sense: you choose, personalize, pay and someone delivers it to the address. The difference is in what is left afterward. A bouquet lasts a few days; a serenade lasts in the memory, in the video and in the anecdote. In addition, the genre lets you personalize much more: a romantic trio is not the same as a mariachi or a grupo norteño, and that choice says something about who you are and how you see the other person. And if you have doubts about the price, remember it is visible from the start: no hidden quotes and with the payment protected in escrow until the musicians play. It is a gift that feels closer, because there are real people singing for someone.

How to prepare the address so the musicians arrive without getting lost

A small mistake in the address can delay everything. Before booking, check that it includes street, number, neighborhood, postal code and visible landmarks, such as a store on the corner or the color of the facade. If it is a building or a residential development, add the name of the condominium, the tower number and the access instructions.

  • Verify that the address shows up correctly in your maps app.
  • Say whether there is a gate, a guard booth or card access.
  • Leave a contact phone for whoever is organizing or whoever will receive the group.
  • Mention whether there is parking available for the musicians.

How to choose the best moment for the visit

The time of day influences the atmosphere. A mid-afternoon serenade feels lighter and lets you gather the family; a night one creates a more intimate, romantic mood. Think about the person's routine: if they work late, there is no point arriving at six. If there is a scheduled gathering, coordinate with whoever organizes it so the music is part of the plan.

If there will be neighbors nearby, advance notice and a reasonable hour help avoid complaints. A well-received serenade almost always depends on courtesy toward those around the place.
